Why Chatgpt replacing Google search!!

According to this article, Google Search is losing 45% of its users because of chatbots. Is that really true? For me, before ChatGPT or any chatbot, whenever I needed any clarification or had a doubt, I used Google as a source and often checked Wikipedia for information. But in the last couple of years, that has changed—I don’t even remember the last time I checked Wikipedia. Is this what the survey is also pointing to?

Okay, let me tell you why I use ChatGPT over Google:

  1. A single answer for my query
  2. User-friendly experience
  3. Continuation of one query
  4. Access to previous data

Let me solve this for you.

I searched for the standard logo size in Shopify and got two results—one from ChatGPT and one from Google. ChatGPT gave me a clear answer, and Google did too, but it was actually Google’s AI platform, Gemini, providing the result. Now, imagine you have another doubt related to this. With ChatGPT, you can ask instantly without any delay, but with Google, you can’t. That’s why I chose ChatGPT over Google.

But still, not for everything. If I need trusted blogs or articles, I prefer Google.

As for previous data, is it safe? I still don’t have an idea, but it’s convenient in most cases. Let me show you.

I asked ChatGPT to give me a description of my startup with my previous data and Boom, it gave me this result, From a safety perspective I am not happy with this result but ease of work and convenience I like,

I don’t think Google can provide this kind of experience. Yes, of course, Gemini can, but it’s not a search engine—it’s also an AI bot. So, there’s no wonder why people are choosing chatbots over search engines. All a search engine can do is build its own chatbot to keep up with the trend, and that’s exactly what Google did.
